World standard in micronized calcite production
Mikron'S, started production in 2004 with a capacity of 120,000 tons of micronized calcite in Niğde, where the purest and whitest calcite deposits in the world are located. Shortly after, the production capacity was increased to 250,000 tons with the addition of a mill with ball bearings. Soon after the start of production Micron'S high quality and diverse product line created a great demand both domestically and internationally. In a short time TURKCARB brand became a trusted brand worldwide.
Mikron'S was awarded ISO9001:2000 Quality Assurance Certificate for its world standard operations and sensitivity in protecting the environment and employee health.
The reserves in the mine owned by Mikron'S covering an area approximately 350 acres will be sufficient to meet the demand for high quality raw material for years to come. Mikron'S will continue to build on the success it has achieved in a relatively short time by continuing to invest and to grow.
